About Us
Generations ago, the Johnson family’s tradition of craftsmanship began in a humble workshop, where skill and passion were passed from one hand to the next. Today, that legacy lives on, set against the scenic backdrop of Cedar Mountain in Williams, Arizona, just 45 minutes from the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon.
Long before we called it “craftsmanship,” my great-grandfather had a remarkable gift for turning scraps of wood into charming, meaningful creations. He had a way of making things that moved, delighted, and stood the test of time.
Among his most beloved pieces were hand-carved whirligigs—filled with clever mechanics and personality—spinning in the wind like joyful messengers of his enduring spirit. He designed and cut a stencil by hand for those original whirligigs, and we still use that very stencil today. It’s a living tribute to the man whose hands shaped both wood and legacy.

He passed down that passion, heart, and inventiveness to his son—my grandfather and my hero—a man of quiet strength, everyday resourcefulness, and an unshakable willingness to lend a helping hand. He lived his life by giving, creating, and caring deeply—not just about what he built, but how it would impact others. He taught me that a meaningful life is one spent in service to others, guided by creativity and purpose.
That same spirit continues to run through the veins of the Johnson family. Our legacy is built on craftsmanship, ingenuity, and soul—shaped by hands that knew how to make something from nothing, and minds that never stopped imagining what could be.
